SaMM is a Saturday Morning Music School based in Totnes, Devon, UK. We meet every Saturday during term time in the Ariel Centre at KEVICC,
We aim to help children experience music making and improve musicianship
whilst also learning that music is a fun and rewarding social activity
We are an inclusive organisation and offer children of all ages and musical abilities – from 6 to 18 and from complete beginner to virtuoso – the opportunity to enjoy making music with others in a wide variety of ensemble workshops.
Although you do not have to be able to play an instrument to be part of SaMM, we strongly encourage it by offering:
- Help with Choosing an Instrument
- Help with Instrument Hire
- Help with Finding the Right Teacher
All you need to do is come along on any Saturday during term time and give it a try. We encourage both parents and children / teenagers to dip in and out of the different groups during the morning so that they can get a sense of what we do and how we do it. Then you can choose the groups you want to join and become a member of SaMM from the following Saturday.
Please create an account on this website at www.sammtotnes.org/user/register so that we have contact details for both parents and students.
We look forward to meeting you!
SaMM fees are paid termly - so 3 times a year.
There are two payment tiers:
- Only attending 1 group during the morning - £65 (£60 with sibling discount) per term
- Attending 2 or more groups during the morning - £85 (£80 with sibling discount) per term
For those families that need it, we offer up to 100% bursaries - please just fill out the Bursary Application Form.
We are absolutely adamant that no child should miss out on a musical education due to lack of finance.
So if this is an issue - just let us know by filling out the application form and we will sort something out.
